February 2018 Meeting
Blue Ridge Woodturners hosted its first online remote demonstration at the Masonic Lodge on February 22, featuring Dr. Seri Robinson from Oregon State University, or "Dr. Spalt" as she's also known. She educated members about exactly what spalting is and what spalting is not, and shared her current research into how wood spalting can be accelerated to achieve spectacular results in as little as an hour, with the proper conditions and extensive preparation.
