Dr. Sara Robinson, Assistant Professor, Oregon State University.  Dr. Robinson is both a scientist and an artist. Dr. Robinson will start by giving an introduction to spalted wood with definitions and examples…

  • What causes spalting.
  • “Myth Busting” about spalted wood.
  • Do-It-Yourself spalting at home.
  • Advancements in spalting from years, to months, to hours!

And finally she will show how to best turn spalted wood, tools and techniques.
